Schwingen, An Old Conventional Sporting Activity in Switzerland

Schwingen- Swiss wrestling- is an old sport in Switzerland. It goes back several centuries. The first time a substantial contest was at the first Alpine shepherd s festival at Unspunnen in 1805 and in 1895 the Swiss Schwingen Organization was founded.
